Role, benefits & use

All about Zinc

Zinc is an essential trace element: the body needs it in small amounts, but it is involved in more than 300 enzymatic reactions. It is one of the most important "beauty and immunity" minerals. The health claims authorised by EFSA are numerous: zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal skin, normal hair and nails, to the normal function of the immune system, to the protection of cells against oxidative stress and to normal acid-base metabolism. Because it takes part in the cellular renewal of the skin and skin appendages, zinc is a valued ally in "clear skin, strong hair and resistant nails" cures. A zinc deficiency can result in weakened skin or brittle nails. In our formulas, zinc in the form of gluconate (well tolerated) accompanies biotin, selenium, marine collagen and vitamin C for a complete beauty and natural-defences action.
