MSM, or methylsulfonylmethane, is a natural source of organic sulfur. Sulfur is a key element of our structural proteins, such as keratin (hair, nails) and collagen (skin, cartilage): it takes part in forming the "bridges" that give these tissues their strength. This is why MSM is found both in "joint" supplements and in beauty regimens. A very popular active ingredient across the Atlantic, MSM is traditionally sought to support everyday joint comfort, particularly in people who are active or getting older. It is almost always combined with glucosamine, chondroitin and collagen, in a synergistic approach.
