Microencapsulated lactic ferments (Lactobacillus & Bifidobacterium strains) to support the balance of the intestinal microbiota.
Role, benefits & use
All about Lactic Ferments · Probiotics
Our gut is home to trillions of bacteria: this is the intestinal microbiota, a genuine ecosystem whose balance (intestinal flora) is now at the heart of nutrition research. Lactic ferments — better known to the general public as “probiotics” — are living micro-organisms, mainly Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium strains, which are also found in fermented foods.
Important compliance note: in the European Union, the term “probiotic” and the claims that go with it are not authorized as health claims. We therefore describe here the strains and technology used, without any therapeutic claim.
Our formulas provide selected strains (up to 9 strains and 25 billion CFU), microencapsulated to withstand stomach acidity and be released in the intestine. The added vitamin C does contribute to the normal function of the immune system (authorized EFSA claim). A vegan “intestinal flora” programme, ideal for everyday use or after an imbalance.
